Thank God I was inside by the time the lockdown happened. I went through way too many emotions in one night. I realized it’s also dope being a solid individual. Friends from 25, 30…dare I say 40 years ago (are we this seasoned?) put out the bat signal for me at one point. G, Marv, Sis, & the fam…thanks for holding me down until I got back when the sun came up 🥴😩Y’all the real MVPs for staying up with me when u didn’t have to✨

Full Circle Magic ✨🧚🏽‍♂️

Thanks to Winand Elementary for allowing us to speak at the End of Year Musical. When I was personally asked to find someone that could come speak to Grades K-5, this is not a task I took lightly.

I wrestled with this for weeks & in the middle of the night a lightbulb went off & I said to myself “This is a musical, why don’t u get one of your theater student athletes to speak life into these young hearts, encouraging the students to believe in themselves. Show them that if they love musicals & theater, this goal is absolutely attainable.

Drea was the perfect choice. She’s from Baltimore, on the right path, and acts like a big ol’ kid 🤭 which is one thing I love about her. Not only did she show them what’s possible, her former ELEMENTARY SCHOOL teacher from Baltimore City immediately recognized her face & demeanor.

That’s the universe showing us how beautifully our journeys connect. Ms. Barnes said she always wondered about her…& here she was, inspiring the choir students. Some moments just feel perfectly orchestrated 🔮
