She’s Fighting Alone. Let’s Change That.

I read an article this week about single mothers and the housing challenges they face, and honestly… it hit me hard.
Not because it was shocking but because it confirmed what I’ve been seeing and hearing for years.

The article talked about how single mothers are one of the most housing-insecure groups in America. High rents, low wages, childcare costs, the constant pressure of choosing between bills, groceries, and safety.
It described how even moms working full-time still fall below the poverty line not because they’re not trying, but because the system was never built with them in mind.

And as I was reading, I found myself thinking:

“This is exactly why ReacHER Projects exists.”

I’ve met moms who worked two jobs and still couldn’t afford a stable home.
I’ve talked to women who slept in cars just to keep their kids warm.
I’ve heard stories from young women aging out of foster care, stepping into adulthood with no safety net and no home to land in.

When I say ReacHER Projects is personal…
I mean it.

We’re not building tiny homes just to build them.
We’re building peace of mind.
We’re building safety.
We’re building a future.

And today, we are actively working on securing our first property the land that will become The HERVest Farm. A place designed specifically for women who are fighting battles most people never see.

As a 501(c)(3), we’re doing everything we can but we can’t do it alone.

ReacHER Projects: Building Hope From the Ground Up

Every movement begins with a single step and for ReacHER Projects, that step was a dream to create safe, healing spaces where women can rebuild their lives with dignity, support, and community.

From day one, our mission has been clear:
Empower HER. House HER. Heal HER.

We’ve faced challenges, learned lessons, built partnerships, and gained incredible supporters along the way. Today, we are proud to share that we are actively working toward securing our very first property the future home of The HERVest Farm, a place where single mothers, women veterans, and young women aging out of foster care can find stability, training, and opportunity.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every donation, share, and connection helps us get one step closer to breaking generational cycles and planting seeds of long-term change.

🌾 The Journey of ReacHER Projects

What started as a simple idea to create safe, healing spaces for women has grown into a mission that’s bigger than us.

When we began ReacHER Projects, we didn’t have land, funding, or a clear path. What we had was a vision to build a place where women could rebuild their lives, find purpose, and plant new roots through community, creativity, and connection to the land.

Since then, we’ve built partnerships, gained incredible supporters, and are now in the process of securing our very first property the future site of The HERVest Farm. This will be a space where single mothers, women veterans, and young women aging out of foster care can live, learn, and grow together.

Every step has been a leap of faith but one filled with hope, love, and perseverance. 💛

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we’re continuing to grow and we’re currently seeking land donations or partnerships in the State of Maryland or the greater DMV area.

At ReacHER Projects, we’re turning that question into reality one acre, one tiny home, one woman at a time.

Every day, women who have served our country, aged out of foster care, or are rebuilding after hardship come to us with strength and one missing piece: the space to start again.

We’re transforming farmland into tiny-home communities where:
🌱 They can heal surrounded by nature and sisterhood.
💪 They can learn, earn, and grow through job training and shared purpose.
🏡 They can find not just shelter but a foundation for generational change.

We’re working toward this transformation right now, and we’re actively raising funds to make our first ReacHER Community a reality.
