What a week in Nairobi!
From hosting our 10th Infective Keratitis Workshop to participating in IAPB 2030 InSight Live, our team spent the week learning, collaborating, and advancing the fight against avoidable blindness alongside leaders in global eye health.
Before the conference began, KeraLink International and Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital welcomed 42 eye care professionals from 11 countries and 39 institutions to our milestone Infective Keratitis Workshop at Lions Sightfirst Eye Hospital Loresho. Together, ophthalmologists and optometrists received hands-on training in the early detection, diagnosis, and management of infectious keratitis, one of the leading causes of corneal blindness worldwide.
One of the highlights of the week was celebrating our own Chelsea Andrews, who was recognized with the Young Systems Leader Award. Chelsea's passion, leadership, and commitment to strengthening eye care systems continue to make a meaningful impact, and we couldn't be more proud.
A huge thank you to our partners, faculty, attendees, and everyone who made this week possible. The conversations, connections, and shared commitment to improving eye health worldwide made this an unforgettable experience.
