On 4.29.26 Sorrel and the Josie King Foundation shared Josie’s Story at OSF Healthcare’s Safety Summit in Peoria, IL. The summit focused on helping executive leaders deepen their understanding of the critical importance of patient safety and the overall patient experience. Sorrel delivered her message to more than 150 VPs, board members, RNs, and other healthcare professionals, followed by a book signing.

3.6.26 - Sorrel and the Josie King Foundation will serve as the keynote speaker at the Annual Templeton Trauma Symposium at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She will share Josie’s Story with an audience of 100–125 healthcare professionals who care for traumatically injured children, including nurses, nurse practitioners, prehospital providers, pediatric trauma surgeons, and emergency medicine physicians. Since its inception in 2001, the John M. Templeton Jr. Pediatric Trauma Symposium has grown to be a nationally recognized resource for innovative as well as basic multidisciplinary pediatric trauma education.

10/24/25 Sorrel/JKF will kick off the St. Luke’s University Health Network Pediatric Nursing Conference, Energizing Pediatric Care: Trends, Safety and Innovation. Sorrel will share Josie's Story and speak to Family-Centered Approaches to Patient Safety. This event will take place at DeSales University and include a Josie's Story book signing.

9/25/25 Sorrel/JKF, as the keynote speaker, will kick off the Leman Siccardi Family Neonatal Education Symposium – Bridging Hearts & Minds: Strengthening NICU Collaboration on September 25th in Toronto, Canada. She will share Josie's Story to enhance this first of its kind symposium at Mount Sinai Hospital, focusing on interdisciplinary teamwork, communication, and collaboration with families.

6/23/25 - Sorrel/JKF will visit the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, VA. She will share Josie's Story during their Pediatric Grand Rounds and do a book signing. CHKD is the only free-standing children's hospital in Virginia.
