🌿 Seeking Sleeping Bags & Mats Donations for our Community Soul Nap Events! 🌙💤

Hey Baltimore! 🏙️✨ Soul Soil Collective is looking for donations of sleeping bags, mats, blankets, and other cozy rest essentials to expand our free community Soul Nap events!

As a Black and q***r-led nonprofit, Soul Soil Collective is dedicated to creating healing, sanctuary, and connection through land-based programming. We believe that rest is a radical act of self-preservation and resistance; especially for Black, Indigenous, and LGBTQIA+ communities who are often denied safe spaces to slow down and dream.

💛 Our Soul Nap gatherings provide:
🌿 Protected, affirming rest spaces for q***r and trans BIPOC folks and allies
☕ Warm tea, snacks, and shared reflection to nourish body and mind
🧡Community support and childcare for intergenerational participation
🏕️ Supplies for collective napping; and seeking more to expand reach!

🔹 How You Can Help:
✅ Donate gently used or new sleeping bags, mats, and blankets

Hey there, beautiful souls! 🌟 Have you ever wondered, "What does it look like to protect each other's rest?" Well, wonder no more! 🤔💭 Join us for an enchanting event called Soul Nap at Druid Hill Park's Liberty Pavilion on June 2 from 1pm-5pm.

Let's come together to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate in the embrace of community. 🌳☀️ We'll take turns protecting space for each other to nap, bask in the warmth of the sun, and enjoy each other's company. 🌞💤 This is a BIPOC trans and q***r-centered space, and allies/accomplices are warmly welcomed to join us in creating a sanctuary of love and support. 🏳️‍🌈💖

As Audre Lorde once said, "Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare." Let's reclaim our right to rest and enjoy together!

Amidst the chaos and clamor of our daily lives, it's vital to remember that REST is our birthright. 🌿✨ At Soul Soil Collective, we celebrate this truth – offering a haven where you're welcomed to unwind, recharge, and reconnect with your true essence. 💫✨ Join us in honoring the sacred art of rest, where community, ritual, and self-discovery intertwine. For within the tranquil embrace of stillness, we unearth the essence of our being. 🌙💖

As Susan Raffo beautifully reminds us, "Rest is not about rest, it is about the context that surrounds rest. It is about state violence and the culture of surveillance, about the hours you have to work to pay rent or chip away at your mortgage. Rest is about how unfinished histories hide behind our eyelids and the fact that healthcare usually means the opposite of rest. We need packs. We cannot rest alone.
