Some of the deepest wounds carried by youth in foster care are not always physical.
Sometimes, it’s the feeling of being unseen. 💔
Unseen when they enter another temporary home.
Unseen when their identity is dismissed.
Unseen when they’re told to make themselves smaller just to be accepted.
For many LGBTQ+ youth in foster care, the pain is not just instability — it’s feeling like no one truly sees, hears, or understands them.
But every child deserves to be recognized.
To be affirmed.
To be valued exactly as they are. 🌈
This Foster Care Awareness Month, let’s commit to creating homes, systems, and communities where youth are not simply placed… but genuinely seen, supported, and loved.
Because sometimes being seen can save a life.
✨ See them.
✨ Hear them.
✨ Affirm them.
✨ Love them.
