Our goal is to help keep Blues Music alive and to do that we must get the younger people into the Blues.

The Tony Colter Foundation will generate a music scholarship to The School of Rock for youth in Baltimore City.

Last night The Tony Colter Foundation granted our 4th music scholarship to Daniel! Daniel in now the proud owner of a red guitar and will start his lessons at the The School of Rock in Towson next month. Glad to share this experience with my daughter, Avery, who shares the same initials as my late father. Thanks to all those who contribute to donate to The Tony Colter Foundation to give a Baltimore City Public School Student this opportunity. Congratulations Daniel!!!

Another year in the books! The Tony Colter Foundation’s 3rd student, Angel, completed her semester of playing guitar at The School of Rock Towson. Looking forward to granting a new student a music scholarship this fall!

Last night we granted our 3rd Tony Colter Foundation music scholarship at the School of Rock of Towson to Angel! Glad I was able to bring my middle daughter with me who shares my dad’s initials- AJ. Angel is a 5th grade student in the Baltimore City school system and she’ll be learning guitar this semester. Congratulations to Angel and looking forward to seeing her and all the SOR students preform this spring!

Great news! We found our 3rd recipent of The Tony Colter Foundation Music Scholarship for 2025! Congruatlations to Angel Shields, a 5th grader who attends Baltimore City Public Schools. Look for updates on Angel in the New Year! Thank you to all those who donated to support our small 501c3 chairty.

I'm really excited to announce that we are offically accepting applicants for the 2025 Tony Colter Foundation Music Scholarship. We will be awarding our 3rd scholarship to a Baltimore City Public School Student. Last day for students to apply is Friday, 11/22/24.

A bit late but earlier this month I’ryiah had her final performance at the School of Rock. Her and the band played- Be quiet and drive, Hypnotize, I miss the misery, My curse. Great job done by all the kids. Thanks to all the parents and teachers involved to teach the kids!

Sentimental weekend for The TCF Friday, May 3 was the 5 year anniversary of Tony’s passing. Fast forward 2 days and we were able to attend I’riyah’s mid-year performance for The School of Rock ar Metro Gallery in Baltimore City. She did a great job on guitar and played “Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)” by Deftones. Didn’t think a tragic event would turn into a positive way to honor someone and pass it forward, it brings peace. All the kids did a great job!
