A heartfelt THANK YOU to Valley Brook Community Church for partnering with The Joy of Living to serve those in need this past Saturday! Together, we shared over 100 Blessing Bags, offering essential items, kindness, and a reminder that our neighbors are seen, valued, and loved.

As our young ladies finish their first month of school, let’s make time to listen to their laughter, little stories, and quiet worries.

When our girls know the small things matter to us, they learn they can trust us with the big things, too.

One of our Sip & Paint events brought us together to create, laugh, and enjoy one another’s company. Every painting tells its own story, just like every woman in this circle. We are grateful for the creativity, connection, and joy we shared.

Let us do this again soon, make more art, share more stories, and keep building this beautiful circle together.

Teamwork Makes Dreams Work!

STEM is not only about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; it is also about communication, cooperation, trust, and working together toward a shared goal.

Our EmpowerH.E.R. young ladies enjoyed team-building activities that filled the day with movement, laughter, friendship, and joy. They encouraged one another, shared ideas, solved problems, and learned that everyone has something valuable to contribute to the team.

These moments of connection are an important part of Becoming H.E.R. As our young ladies grow in knowledge and confidence, they are also learning how to support one another and lead with kindness.

Together, we are building more than racers; we are building confidence, character, sisterhood, and future leaders!

Imagine. Design. Build. Test. Improve. 🛠️

Our EmpowerH.E.R. young ladies did more than build rubber-band racers; they experienced the engineering design process firsthand!

They worked through challenges, tested their creations, made adjustments, and tried again. At every step, they learned that mistakes aren't failures; they are opportunities to think differently, improve, and keep growing.

Watching their racers move was exciting, but watching their confidence, curiosity, and determination grow was even more meaningful!

Thank you to Miquel of Black S.O.N.s for making engineering engaging, understandable, and fun. We also thank Ms. Washington, Ms. Yolanda, and Mr. Willis for their love, encouragement, support, and commitment to our young ladies.

Becoming H.E.R.—Bold, Equipped, and Resilient!
