Help Guillain Nabahya and His Family Rebuild their lives after escaping from the violence in Eastern Congo

Guillain Nabahya, founder of the Nabahya Food Institute, and his family have safely evacuated from Uvira to Kalemie by boat, escaping escalating violence. Despite Uvira not yet being overtaken by M23 forces, the situation remains dire, with restricted access and widespread chaos. Guillain expressed the challenges of securing passage for his family amid limited resources.

The violence has far-reaching consequences, particularly for women and girls, who face isolation and disrupted education, perpetuating cycles of trauma. Guillain has secured flights to Lubumbashi for temporary refuge, while his agricultural program with PHI continues unaffected. Now, his focus is on regrouping and ensuring safety for his family and team, whether within or outside the DRC.

—Rebuild Homes for Syprina and Susan: A Campaign for Hope and Stability—

—The Need—
Syprina and Susan, widows from Kendu Bay, Kenya, are in urgent need of safe and secure homes. In March 2024, a devastating storm destroyed their simple houses, leaving them vulnerable as another rainy season approaches. Both women, in their 70s, face significant challenges—living in poverty, with no support, and battling poor health. They deserve dignity, stability, and safety.

—Our Goal—
Through the Kamser Seka Widows Initiative, in partnership with Passion of Hope International (PHI), we aim to raise $14,000 to construct two sustainable, storm-resistant homes. Each home will include two rooms, improved sanitation facilities, and water tanks for rainwater harvesting, ensuring long-term security and access to basic needs.
