Our primary goal is to be an employer of choice in the Baltimore region with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our Mission

Like the Sisters of Mercy before us, we witness God’s healing love for all people by providing excellent clinical and residential services within a community of compassionate care. Our Values

DIGNITY - We celebrate the inherent value of each person as creat

ed in the image of God. HOSPITALITY - From many religious traditions and walks of life, we welcome one another as children of the same God, whose mercy we know through the warmth, fidelity and generosity of others. JUSTICE - We base our relationships with all people on fairness, equality and integrity. We stand especially committed to persons who are poor or vulnerable. EXCELLENCE - We hold ourselves to the highest standards of care and to serving all with courtesy, respect and compassion. Maintaining our involvement in the education of physicians and other healthcare professionals is a priority. STEWARDSHIP - We believe that our world and our lives are sacred gifts which God entrusts to us. We respond to that trust by constantly striving to balance the good of all with the good of each, and through creative and responsible use of all our resources. PRAYER - We believe that every moment in a person’s journey is holy. Prayer is our response to God’s faithful presence in suffering and in joy, in sickness and in health, in life and in death.

This summer, we were lucky enough to host 3 Mercy High School students as part of their Women in Medicine Program. Claire, Emily, and Alex explored Nursing and Physician career paths and learned what a day in the life looked like with many different employees here at Mercy.

...and just like that, it's time to go Back to School!

Mercy employees graciously donated school supplies as part of our annual "Back to School" drive. An abundance of notebooks, pencils, pens, back packs, loose leaf paper, 2-pocket folders, markers, crayons, art supplies, hand sanitizer, tissues (and more!) were given to the students and teachers of Mt. Royal Elementary/Middle School.

We wish everyone a very blessed and healthy school year ahead!

It's been a busy summer here at Mercy! Last week, employees gathered for the 38th annual Employee Picnic! This is a great way to connect with colleagues, celebrate the summer, and get outside. Our hub sites receive a picnic meal as well to be included in the days festivities.

“Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration of the end of slavery in the United States. It is an enduring, unbreakable thread of African American history being woven through the tapestry of Mercy.” – Sister Benvinda Pereira, RSM

Happy Juneteenth! On June 19, 1865, more than two years after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, approximately 250,000 enslaved Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally recognized as citizens, free from bo***ge. Today, our Mercy community celebrates the joy of liberation and remembers the sorrow of slavery

We are proud to have been recognized as a 2025 Gold CareFirst Healthy Business!

This recognition demonstrates Mercy's impact and effort to create change based on our strategy, promotion of whole health, and support of healthy behaviors at work.

From the cooking classes offered to employees, group exercise classes (pickleball, pilates, and barre to name a few), step challenges, weekly on-site farmers market, mindfulness opportunities, and mental health awareness initiatives it's safe to say we promote and prioritize healthy habits to our employees!

Mercy's Benefits team hosted a free Cold Brew Coffee Bar for employees, sponsored by our partners at Carefirst Wellbeing. As an early afternoon pick me up, employees could make their own cold brew coffee with a variety of sugar free syrup options, and learn about caffeine and its impact on energy and wellness.

Mercy's Safety & Security team is HIRING!

We are hiring a full time Lieutenant (https://careers.mdmercy.com/mercy-home/jobs/14606?lang=en-us) for our day shift (6 am - 2 pm), and on a variety of shifts (including full time, part time, and PRN opportunities), we are hiring Security Officers (https://careers.mdmercy.com/mercy-home/jobs/10035?lang=en-us).

Mercy's Security team plays an incredibly important role in keeping our patients and employees safe. Their presence throughout the hospital's campus is pivotal to ensure the Mercy family feels secure and that patient care carries on. They patrol our buildings, property and grounds, and respond to, evaluate, and assist with mitigating security related issues.

We are looking for collaborative, quick thinking, and experienced Security professionals to join our team!
