Oftentimes the people who spend their careers helping others are the least likely to ask for help themselves.

In this short trailer, Signal 13 CEO Nancy Hinds speaks with Sergeant Anita Pitts of the Baltimore Police Department about a moment when an unexpected home emergency impacted her family—and why she almost didn’t ask for help.
Her story is a reminder that support matters and that asking for help is a sign of strength.

National Police Week 2026 | Honoring Our Heroes

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation designating May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which it falls as National Police Week.

During this week, we honor and remember the courageous law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, dedicating their lives to the safety and protection of others. Their service, bravery, and legacy will never be forgotten. 💙

It was the perfect day for the Baltimore City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3 annual Memorial Golf Tournament at Mountain Branch Golf Course. The Signal 13 team didn't win, and birdies were hard to come by, but everyone had a good time supporting a great cause. Thank you to Lt. Colonel Derek Loeffler, Lt. Brad Helm and Deputy Chief Beth Hart for playing. Thank you to the FOP leadership for always supporting your officers and putting on a fantastic event. Thank you David Rubenstein and the Baltimore Orioles for hosting Signal 13 Board members in the owner's box at Sunday's game. The view was spectacular but the company was even better. Pictured: Board Secretary Barb Simmons, Zarena Cason, Martin Knott, David Rubenstein and Brian White. Although the game results weren't what we hoped for, it was a great day at the ballpark. Go O's!
