It’s not often that you find a Baltimore Police Department Major dressed up as superwoman but that’s exactly what Keira Saunders did when she climbed into a dunk tank. It was all in good fun as the Baltimore Police Department- Northern District opened its doors to the community today for a day of good food and camaraderie. One of the Major’s commanders is a former baseball player with a great arm who had no trouble dunking the boss!

It's the end of an era at Signal 13. After 41 years of dedicated service, Gerard Heid (on left) is finally calling it quits. Jerry made the difficult decision to retire from Signal 13 at the end of this year. He will serve as a consultant through June. In addition to his work efforts on behalf of Signal 13, many may not be aware that Jerry is the second longest serving active duty police officer in the history of the Baltimore Police Department. Signal 13 thanks Jerry for his lifetime of service to Signal 13 and the BPD, and we wish him the best in his well-deserved retirement.
