HorsePower HorsePower is a therapy, but the effect on our riders is pure magic. We are treated to a most wonderful gift. The joy of our riders is totally contagious.

Equestrian programs/therapies for individuals with physical, emotional, and/or cognitive challenges in a quest for personal independence, accomplishment, and well-being. Amazing things happen right before our eyes. Rider’s stiff legs seem to melt into the warm sides of horses. Cramped muscles relax and what is rigid becomes supple. Slumped postures morph into erect backbones, proudly showing off riding skills. Children who have never spoken become verbal. Souls are touched. This is our reward, and the only pay our utterly amazing volunteers get for their commitment of time and love. This is the reason we seek just the right horses, and give them the best feed and care we can, because of the joy and freedom they give unconditionally to our riders.

Is it fall break yet?! Arnold is keeping a close eye on the calendar because our last week of fall session is here! He’s looking forward to some extra rest, relaxation, and maybe a few extra treats during the break!

A couple cute pictures to brighten your day of Banjo and some bubbles during one of his ground-based sessions this week! Banjo loves his clients, and has started to recognize their vehicles and bray when he sees them drive into the parking lot. He enjoys participating in the activities during his sessions, and always keeps us laughing!

Groundwork is a wonderful and versatile option for participants at HorsePower who want to enjoy the benefits of equine-assisted services without having to be on the back of the horse. Sessions are crafted for each individual, taking into consideration their goals for the session and activities that they can enjoy while receiving the benefits of partnering with a horse (or donkey)!

Weeks like these, we are so glad to have an indoor arena space to stay out of the mud and rain! The horses have been enjoying rolling in the mud outside, but you'll definitely want your mud boots if you come out this week to visit!

Blue Jeans and Bling 2026 is in the books! We had a fantastic group of people come out to enjoy the food, live music, beautiful venue, ice cream, and bid on the wide selection of auction items!

We truly couldn’t have done it without the generosity of our donors, community, and the hard work of the staff, volunteers, and board members who put it all together. It was such a special night, and we are so grateful to everyone who was apart of it!

Stay tuned, more pictures to come!
