Next month's book club book is "The Wide Wide Sea" by Hampton Sides. 🌊⚓ Part high-seas adventure, part examination of the Age of Exploration, this account of Captain James Cook's last voyage in 1776 charts how his overt and covert missions came to a head on the island of Hawaii and left behind a complex and controversial legacy still debated to this day.

Books are available for checkout at the library!
Our next meeting is Wednesday, Nov. 4th at 6:30 at the Balsam Lake Brewery

What is Banned Book Week?
Banned Books Week (October 4-10, 2026) is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read...it spotlights current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools through challenges and bans. A challenge is an attempt to remove or restrict materials, based upon the objections of a person or group. A ban is the removal of those materials.

Remember, all ages can enter! Kids & Adults, and this year's theme is ‘At the Zoo.‘ Turn your pumpkin into your favorite animal or animal-themed design!
