We just finished adding our 2026 winning scholarship essay and wanted to get a photo of the evolving wall. We're so happy to be able to offer this scholarship to Polk County high school seniors and it's why our root beer float sales at Freedom Fest are so important. So be sure to buy one (or three) at Freedom Fest and help us support Polk County's students!

We've got our educations boxes posted on the website! We created a whole new page just for educators and have a special section dedicated to our education boxes. We're also working on a few boxes for older students to learn more about Polk County's history and gain some valuable skills while doing it (and hopefully a love for history too)!

Did you know when drought lowered the water levels in the lake, some residents secretly added debris to block the outlet while other residents were secretly removing the debris because they were worried about erosion? Then followed the improvement association.
