Special thanks to Joe Cris and his friends from Kutztown University. They drove to Opportunity House shelter in Pottstown to help volunteer Joshua Sloan with a spring cleanup at the community garden. Perennial hostas and ferns were planted, many wheelbarrows full of wood chips and garden soil were moved, and lots of construction debris was tidied up as well. We can't wait to start planting veggies! The garden soil and this year's vegetable plants were pledged by local family-owned Hetrick Gardens Landscape & Nursery Center. Raised flower beds made from recycled material were also donated by a Pottstown resident and filled with soil today. What a great day for gardening and helping to improve the lives of others! 🙌🌱🫶

🌟 Volunteer Appreciation Spotlight 🌟

Every few weeks, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible people who go above and beyond to serve our community. Today, we are honored to recognize someone whose heart for service truly reflects what community is all about.

Today we proudly honor Adrienne Moore A.K.A Mrs. Bunny.

Adrienne is the mother of Sherman Ellis, founder of The Deviators Inc., but her impact goes far beyond that title. She is a dedicated servant to this community and a leader in her own right as the founder of the clothing ministry Blessings From Above, which has helped provide clothing and essential items to countless people in need.

Adrienne volunteers side-by-side with The Deviators Inc. and Opportunity House every single day. She faithfully runs the donation program at Opportunity House in Pottstown and has been instrumental in helping provide three meals a day, seven days a week, to those staying at the shelter for over the past year.

If someone calls Adrienne with a problem, she shows up. She puts others first, often placing herself last. She works tirelessly, with a spirit of compassion and dedication that is truly inspiring. At the same time, she is focused, determined, and always ready to get the job done.

Her heart for people, her work ethic, and her unwavering commitment to serving others have made a lasting impact on this community for many years.

Today we simply want to say:

Thank you, Adrienne Moore.

Thank you for your love, your sacrifice, and the countless hours you pour into helping others. Your beautiful spirit and servant’s heart do not go unnoticed. Our community is stronger because of you.

A special THANK YOU to Walmart for standing with us for the last four years. Your continued support helps us keep showing up for those who need it most.

COMMUNITY UPDATE ❤️ | OPPORTUNITY HOUSE & THE DEVIATORS INC.

Over the past year, we’ve witnessed real change, moving from serving our unhoused neighbors in the woods to building stability, resources, and community support at Opportunity House.

Together, we’ve created more than just a program, we’ve built a community. From our Free Bike program, food pantry, and clothing donations, to weekly groups, faith-based support, and volunteers from many spiritual backgrounds coming together to serve — the work continues to grow because of YOU.

This Friday we’re hosting a Boot & Clothing Giveaway, made possible through generous donations, including boots in all sizes. Our goal is simple: make sure anyone in need has access to warmth, dignity, and support.

💙 FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE — WHILE SUPPLIES LAST

We’re also calling on our community. If you have gently used or new clothing, boots, or other items you’re ready to donate, now is the time to clean out those closets and bring them out! Donations can be dropped off today or brought with you tomorrow at the event.

Today our hearts are heavy.

We lost another beautiful member of The Deviators family.
Michelle was a force — the strongest little person you’d ever meet. She loved everybody, and if you needed help, she was already on the way. Michelle would get out of her bed in the middle of the night to come get you, no matter where you were or what you were going through. That’s just who she was.

She showed up. Every time.
With love. With care. With no questions asked.

Michelle was a blessing to so many people, and her impact will never be forgotten. We are going to miss her deeply.

We want to thank her family for sharing her with us. Thank you for allowing us to love her and be loved by her. Please keep Michelle’s family and loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time.

These are just a few pictures of a beautiful soul while she was with us and she will always be with us in spirit.
