During the winter, if the schools are closed or delayed for 2 hours, the Senior center will be closed. There will be no scheduled activities, Due to some confusion,just a reminder, we are the Milton Community Center, not the Ballston Area Community Center, which is in the village.
Monday February 16- President’s Day
Chorus meets from 10 to 11. New members are always welcome.
Exercise class from 11:15 to 12- Alison Bodle, Instructor
Tuesday February 17-
Crafters meet 10 to 12 – Bring your own project and your ideas for brainstorming more craft projects.
On February 25th, a crafting class to create an Easter wreath will be offered. Cost for this craft is $15, See Sue Brewer to sign up.
Mahjong – Mahjong meets in the pool room from 1 to 3 pm. New members are welcome.
Wednesday February 18- Daytime Pickin Session- 1:30 to 3:00 pm, doors open at 1, bring a snack to share.
Thursday, February 19-
Stretch & Flex Class 10:30 to 11:15 – Carol Moll, Instructor
Split the Pot Tickets on sale until 11:30 am at front desk.
St, Patrick’s Day Dinner Tickets - tickets will be on sale for the March 14th dinner. The menu is Corned Beef with the usual vegetables plus dessert. Dinner will served at the Milton Community Center with doors opening at 1:15. Tickets for members are $15 and no tickets will be sold at the door. See Bernie and Diane at front desk to purchase your tickets.
Quilt Raffle- tickets are $1 and the drawing will be on next week on February 26th. See Susan Brewer at the craft table to purchase a ticket.
Gather and Dine- menu is Scallped Potatoes and Ham, Carrots, Lima Beans and Mandarin Oranges. To sign up call before 1 pm on Wed, 518-363-4020. Just a quick reminder, no one is allowed in the kitchen without permission during food prep or service from 9 am to 1 pm.
General Meeting begins at 12:30.
Friday, February 20-
Exercise class meets from 11:15 to 12:00- Alison Bodle Instructor
Trips- Howe Caverns signup is closed, but a waitlist is available. To be placed on the wait list contact Mary Egan 518-630-6322
Signups for the April 19th trip to Beardsley Castle will be held March 5 and 12 after the general meeting. The trip cost is $45.
Fun Actitivies- is hosting a wool felting class to make a sheep, on Friday , February 20th at 2.00pm at the Senior Center. It will be led by Barb Hurley. There is a limit of 10 people and we have 2 spaces left. If you are interested, please call Alison at 518 288 3565.
2026 Membership Membership dues for 2026 are now due. See Lisa at the front table. All renewals require the completed membership form which is at the bottom of this eblast.
Dues may also be mailed to Membership Chair, 310 Northline Rd, Ballston Spa, NY 12020 . All checks must be made out to BASC.
Donations for Food Pantry- Items for the local food pantries can be placed in the clear bin at the sign in table. Please no outdated food.
Ill & Deceased- Please let us know of any member who has a health issue or has passed, so we can send a card or a memorial. Contact Linda Elmer at 518-885-4839 or email her at [email protected].
E-blast- If you have an event update or information on future events, please email your information and copy that you wish shared to [email protected] by the Friday prior to the next week’s eblast.
Facebook update- Due to being unable to access the previous page, we now have a new page- It is Ballston Area Senior Citizens. It will be updated on a regular basis so please like our new page.

All new members pay $15, then the following:
$15.00= 55+ years $10.00=Turned 80 in 2025 FREE= Turned 90 in 2025
Enclose check payable to BASC Membership. Membership dues may be paid at Thursday luncheon meetings from 10am to noon. Please fill out even if over 90.
