Thanks to the generous donations of our community and a thoughtful grant proposal from the UPK team, the students in UPK at Ballston Area Community Center have been loving their new basketball hoops!

Here's what UPK Director Sarah McKinley had to say:

"I wanted to share a few pictures and send a huge THANK YOU for the grant to purchase our basketball hoops. The children have absolutely loved playing with them, and they have been a wonderful addition to our gross motor play activities.
Thank you for supporting BACC and our UPK program. We are passionate about early childhood education, and we truly appreciate your generosity and commitment to making a difference in the lives of these children."

We’re thrilled to announce our 2026 grant recipients! This year, we’re putting $6,661.20 directly into the hands of the amazing educators shaping our kids’ futures!
Here’s what’s happening in our schools thanks to YOUR support:
🌿 Wood Road – An outdoor library and nature trail classroom is coming to life!
🌸 Ballston Spa High School – The Environmental Club is planting a native garden tended by students in the special education program. How beautiful is that?
🎮 Gordon Creek – Adapted toys and games so ALL students can play and connect with their peers.
🕊️ Gordon Creek – A Peace Path on the playground to help kids work through conflict independently. (We love this one!)
🔢 Gordon Creek – Hands-on math manipulatives making learning actually fun.
🏀 Ballston Area Community Center – Basketball hoops sized just right for our Pre-K crew!

Since 1996, BSEF has awarded over $460,000 to enrich education in Ballston Spa. None of this happens without our incredible community behind us. 💛💜
