That’s a wrap on the 2025 ice skating season. It was great to see so many people enjoy the rink this year. THANK YOU to all who volunteered their time…we couldn’t do it without you.

The ice got 2 fresh coats last night and is looking so good. We will open today 4-7. It’s looking like these next couple of days will be the last of the season. Come skate in the cold and warm up with hot chocolate in the BARC building! ❄️⛸️

Skating will be open today (Tuesday) 5-7 then Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 4-7. These may be some of the last days to skate this winter. It’s cold, but you can warm up in the BARC building!!

The building will NOT be open for skating this evening 4-7 due to an issue with the building. We are hoping to open 10:00 Saturday morning.

Free Ice Skating!

Ballston Spa and Malta residents, did you know that you and your family can ice skate for FREE right in the village? If the weather cooperates, ice skating kicks off on the first Thursday in January. The warming hut (BARC building) is staffed with volunteers Thursdays-Sundays, weather permitting. Don’t have skates? No problem! There are shelves and shelves of skates in all sizes that you can borrow while you are there...no cost. And when you need to warm up, there’s hot chocolate and popcorn available for purchase, $.50 each. It’s the perfect family activity for a cold winter day. See you there!
