Surprised by some nice recognition in the past couple weeks. First CASA of Forsyth County recognized YFT as a 'Light of Hope' in the community for the work we are doing for families. And second, a letter from US Senator Jon Ossoff commending us for carrying out our mission so well. Very much appreciated.

Today we delivered eight dining tables to Family Promise of Hall County, Georgia. That brings our cumulative total to 251 tables delivered to homes and non-profits in the North Georgia area since we began this mission four years ago. That's a lot of families out there who are able to sit together with their kids, siblings, parents and friends to enjoy a meal but especially a conversation in the hopes of strengthening that family bond and keeping families together. Thank you again to our volunteers and donors for making such a difference in people's lives.

Still building and delivering tables but today we delivered to a new recipient, the Gateway Domestic Violence Center in Gainesville, Ga. Gateway is a safe haven for domestic violence survivors, both men and women, providing shelter from physical and mental violence. It's great mission and we are happy to be able to help. I suspect we'll deliver many more tables to them throughout the year. Continued thanks to our donors who make this possible.

Oh, one more update. Our plan for 2021 was to build and deliver 75 tables, more than twice what we delivered last year. Quite the undertaking. However, at our recent BOD meeting I was challenged to DOUBLE than production to 150 tables!

Challenge accepted! Going to have to expand the volunteer ranks to help build and stain tables and then find more deserving families to donate to but this is a goal I'm anxious to achieve.

Two more tables delivered today. Nilaja and Nicole (and her daughter) were delighted with their gifts. You donors should be proud. 100% of what you donate goes directly to cover the expenses of making these tables. Anxious for dozens of more deliveries yet to come this year.

My guess is most of you already know this but it's been brought to my attention that Amazon donates to the non profit organization of your choice each time you make a purchase. My second guess is that most of you do some of your shopping through Amazon. Your Family's Table would be humbled if you selected us as your charity of choice. How? Seems pretty easy:

1. Visit smile.amazon.com
2. Sign in with your Amazon.com credentials
3. Choose a charitable organization to receive donations (that would be Your Family's Table)
4. Select our charity
5. Start shopping!
