🏡💚 Meet Our Newest Partner Family: Kossivi & Ruth! 💚🏡

We’re excited to introduce you to Kossivi & Ruth, one of our five newest Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities partner families! 🎉

For Kossivi & Ruth, home means: “We are seeking affordable housing so that we can save money, have more space, and be comfortable in an environment we can control.”

Through the Habitat homeownership program, Kossivi & Ruth will work alongside Habitat and ReStore staff, volunteers, and their mentor as they complete sweat equity hours, participate in homeownership education, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. 🔨📚

Join Groundwork for the 2026 Access MI Solar Bike Ride Celebration – Wednesday, September 23rd!

We're celebrating another incredible year of bringing solar power to our communities. Teaming up with the amazing folks at Norte, our route will stop by several participants' homes and other clean energy sites in Traverse City.

We'll wrap up the ride with pizza from the Filling Station – on us!

Bring your own bike, or let us know if you need one – Norte is happy to provide one for the evening (please let us know by Sept. 16th if you need a bike).

Habitat for Humanity homeowners help build and then purchase their houses. They make monthly payments on an affordable mortgage, which in turn helps to more Habitat homeownership opportunities. 🏠 These homes were built in Bloomington, Indiana.

There’s more than one way to give to Habitat!

When you support Habitat for Humanity in Michigan, you can choose the kind of giving that works best for you. Habitat Michigan and its network of 43 local affiliates offer many ways to help build and preserve safe, affordable housing across our state.

You can:

💸 Make a financial gift to support Habitat’s work and housing programs across Michigan.

😦 Donate a vehicle through Cars for Homes. Cars, trucks, RVs, boats, motorcycles and other vehicles may be accepted, even if they are not running.

🚗 Donate new or gently used items to a ReStore, where their resale helps generate revenue for local Habitat affiliates while keeping usable materials out of landfills.

⏰️ Give your time and talents by volunteering on a build site, at a ReStore, in an office, or through a committee or board.

📣 Give your voice by advocating for policies that expand access to safe and affordable housing.

🤝 Partner with Habitat as a business, organization, funder, or community partner to help expand the impact of Habitat’s work.
