Spring has been all about where we’re looking 👀

Where you look is where you want to go.
We know how important where we look is with our horses- whether it’s jumping, barrel racing, horsemanship, or any riding with horses. Our eyes are our guide.

Where we are looking in our daily lives is just as important. ⬇️

“As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”

Yesterday was Good Friday. A day of ultimate sacrifice.
Today, a day of waiting. But in the waiting there is hope and perseverance, growth and conviction.

Every winter we ride ba****ck- it is warm and most importantly it teaches great balance, how to feel true collection in our horses, and how to move with them!

The goal of riding ba****ck is to stay with your horse; move with them through the bumps, turns, jumps, speed ups and slow downs.

Our bodies tell us to stiffen and grip to stay on ba****ck. However, like many times through our lives, we must deny what the body wants and do what keeps us connected to the horse. (Staying mobile, fluid, and MOVING with the horse)

Every day we must deny our bodies and earthy desires. (Galatians 5:24)

But in return we follow Christ. We stay with him, every turn we take, bumps in the roads, we stay with him- and He WANTS us to go to Him!

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

We’re still here! God has still been at work here at Circle C Ranch this winter and doing some amazing things through the horse for our riders!

We have had some horse injuries so we decided to take a break from social media to focus on healing- but even injuries are an opportunity for God to work his power through us.

One recurring verse that the Lord has been bringing to mind (in the midst of our horses healing process) is Ephesians 3:20-21 ⬇️

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

Jesus Christ is always able to do more than we can comprehend. In the moments of worry and fear when discovering injuries, it is so easy to let those things overwhelm us, and our thoughts become, “what am I going to do?”.
But I should be asking someone else that question. “What is the Lord going to do?”

And the answer is He will do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power at work within us. To HIM be the glory.

So often when challenges arise our thoughts are, “I can’t do it. I don’t know how to do it.”
Maybe so, but there is someone who CAN.

So now we look to Christ and we go to Christ who is able to do IMMEASURABLY MORE than all we ask or imagine.

You’ve been asking, and we are excited to open another Leathercraft Workshop!
This workshop focuses on carving into leather using the swivel knife!

You get to carve into your own leather cross and learn the basics of carving and leathercraft while also learning more about the craft and its part in the western heritage!

Our faith focus: how we can make JESUS CHRIST a part of every piece of our lives. Whether it is leathercraft, small business, horses, or anything else we do, we will talk about applying Him to our lives.

Cowgirl Strong- CHRISTMAS EDITION
our first session was filled with what matters the most- Jesus Christ.
In our younger group- “bear much fruit” (John 15:5-8)
We talked about what must happen before we bear fruit, and why abiding in Jesus is so important. If you want to know one reason, read the verse above ⬆️

In our older group- “Is God Enough for Me?”
The older we get, the more important this question becomes.
We are met with more distractions, more sins that are now looked at as “okay” and “normal”, and so many things that do not go with us to Heaven.
Our older groups favorite verses from the session, are Psalm 119.

I will share with you a beautiful prayer from one of our cowgirls in our younger group. We pray that the faith in her prayer encourages you this Christmas season to seek CHRIST, because nothing is more important.

“God thank you for dying for us you are not only my savior you are my love you put faith in me you surprise us with many things and you have more in store for us. Thank you Lord.”

What Jesus Christ can do with a horse…
And that is what makes Circle C Ranch so special.

Every day the weather allows us, we see through the horse what seeking Christ looks like. What humility is, what faith is, what patience is, WHO Jesus is and why He is so important.

Nothing is more important than Jesus Christ.
Apart from Him, we have no good thing.

“You are my Lord, apart from you I have no good thing”
Psalm 16:2

So, join us as we practice making the LORD a part of everything in our lives.

Let’s play catch-up!!

Our first ever Leathercraft Workshop was a success! We were blessed with a FULL workshop and several generous sponsors and givers.

We shared the basics of leathercrafts, where leather comes from and why it is the most sustainable option!

Leather also gives us a visual of how our lives look when they are dry- when we are pouring Christ and His word into our lives. They break. They crack.

But when there is moisture, it is now moldable and playable. It now bends and flexes under pressure. It is now able to be carved and molded into some beautiful by a creator.

Now, replace leather with you! Pour Christ into your life so HE can mold you and shape you.

We will be doing more of these soon- STAY TUNED!!

Good sunsets, good horses, and JESUS.
We have been so busy here at the ranch with mentorship lessons, getting things ready for winter, workshops, and SO MUCH MORE!

A theme we’ve been running into:
PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!
1 Thessalonians 5:17

Short & sweet. But much easier said than done. Often times we find ourselves praying in moments of fear, worry, blessing, or excitement. And that is great, but sometimes the worry and fear persists, the excitement dies.

I read recently this verse phrased this way:
PRAY until the worry or the fear goes away.

And I finally understood what this verse meant, or at least it finally clicked in my head.

Prayer is what keeps us close to God, it is what keeps us focused on God, and that is where we find His guidance!

It is interesting that horses are built the same way. The more they focus on their rider (leader), the more guidance they have- or- the more they SEE the guidance that is there.
