Through our union, the Association of International Comedy Educators (AICE), we seek to establish a working environment that prioritizes health & accessibility, diversity & inclusivity, fair compensation, and r

easonable employment terms. The Second City faculty are key to developing talent and engagement in the company and in the comedy community as a whole. The Association of International Comedy Educators is a place to advocate for their needs as well as those of their students. AICE empowers the educators to organize and discuss pain points with one another so that they can have a productive conversation with the leadership at Second City. The union gives the faculty a seat at the table where decisions are made in an official capacity. Our priorities at present can be described as:

Ensuring our voices are heard

Consistency in training and in the educational experience of our students

Advocating for intersectional justice and inclusion

Securing the ability to have fair compensation, clear job descriptions, and equitable working conditions
