Serving players ages 3 through 19 at Liberty Park, we offer age-appropriate programs that focus on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence. As a volunteer-run AYSO region, we are committed to helping every child enjoy the game and grow both on and off the field.

As the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off today, AYSO Region 359 is bringing that same World Cup excitement to Bakersfield!

We’re excited to announce our partnership with for the upcoming season.

This season, every AYSO Region 359 team will represent a country playing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup and wear that country’s jersey.

To close out our AYSO Philosophy Spotlight series, we’re highlighting Player Development — helping every player learn, grow, and improve at their own pace.

At AYSO, player development is about more than building soccer skills. It’s about creating an environment where kids gain confidence, learn teamwork, develop good habits, and grow their love for the game.

From their first practice to their final game of the season, every player should have the chance to improve, be encouraged, and feel proud of their progress.

At AYSO, coaches play an important role in helping players build confidence, learn the game, and enjoy their time on the field. That’s why Positive Coaching is one of our core philosophies.

Positive Coaching means encouraging effort, celebrating growth, and creating a supportive environment where every player feels valued. When kids are motivated and having fun, they’re more likely to develop their skills and love the game.

AYSO is powered by volunteers, and that includes our amazing coaches. You don’t have to be a soccer expert to make a difference — just someone willing to encourage kids, help them learn, and create a positive experience.
