For more than a decade, Childrens' Advocates Resource Endowment has supported the Bakersfield Police Activities League. This past holiday season we sponsored Shop With a Cop. Watching kids on a shopping spree truly is the holiday spirit.

Before the holiday season began, the folks at CALM shared with us the need for lighting at night for the children’s train station that runs during the Holiday Lights at CALM. Childrens' Advocates Resource Endowment awarded a grant to install lights at the train station. Thousands of kids ride this train each year. CARE President Jim Luff took his family on the train to see the results of the grant.

When Casa of Kern County asked the CARE Foundation for a little help making sure their foster kids had a meaningful holiday present, our board immediately made that happen. Proud to present this check to help out. Your attendance or volunteerism at Village Fest makes this possible.

CARE was honored to recently present checks to many great organizations. One organization was the Open Door Network that will buy underwear/garments for children living in the homeless shelter - ensuring a basic human necessity is provided for all in need. That’s the spirit of the holiday season! This is the real purpose of the annual Village Fest.

Childrens' Advocates Resource Endowment was happy to give our friends at MARE Therapeutic Riding a helping hand. Our donation provides helmets and saddles benefiting more than 70 children each week. Your attendance at Village Fest makes this grant possible.

The Childrens' Advocates Resource Endowment recently granted Community Action Partnership of Kern $4800 for literacy kits at their Oasis Family Resource Center in Ridgecrest. Spreading the love across Kern County with funds raised from Village Fest.
