When she was only three months old, she was hit by a car and left on the side of the road to die. A woman brought her into the nearest veterinary hospital and asked them to euthanize her. When they opened the box that she was in, they weren't even sure if she was alive. When they saw her, her leg was badly mangled and up over her head and she was unresponsive. ic to have her put down and something amazing happened, she stood up! After seeing this, the vet knew that he had to try to save her. Since her back leg was too badly injured, he was forced to amputate it. After about two weeks, she was back to running, jumping, and playing. She was back to her normal spunky self. Shortly after surgery, I found her and instantly fell in love and adopted her. She now lives with me and her two brothers, Jack and ReRe. She is adjusting wonderfully and loves her new home. I just wanted to make this page to spread awareness for disabled pets and hopefully, help find them homes and give them happy lives. I want Shenzi to be a motivational story to everyone, so that they know to never give up!
