Our SJVLS Annual Camping Trip is HERE, and we’re trading the valley for the California coast!

Over the next few days, we’ll be Moonstone Beaching, collecting along San Simeon Creek, grubbing around camp, rockhounding the coastline, and enjoying some much-needed time together by the Pacific. 🌊☀️

Because rockhounding is about more than what you bring home—it’s about where the rocks take you. 💎

Good evening, Society members.
Due to some extrordinary recent events over the past week, this will be my last post to this page. My time with SJVLS has come to an end. I am grateful to have met so many amazing rockhounds over the past two years! Thank you, for allowing me to be apart of your world for this brief moment in time. I humbly exit, by saying, "Please be kind to someone, every chance that you can." It very well make a difference in that person's life. I hope you all find your treasure at the end of the rainbow....

Good afternoon, everyone!
I have had the pleasure of spending some time at our workshop lately with some wonderful people! All week long, I fidget and get excited about getting back up there! We have made some really cool pieces and we all seem to be getting better at our craft! From choosing the perfect stone, then cutting your slab, choosing your ddesign and then off to cut. It all starts taking shape and before you know it, you have a beautiful piece of art, that YOU created!

Once the fair is over and after our annual camping trip to San Simeon (Oct 14-16), then we will be going out on our next club Field Trip on October 24th! Location to be determined, soon!

Once all of this finishes up and I can confirm that the shop is available for Sunday, November 1st, I will take spots for those who would like to learn how to cut and polish their rocks! I will be able to accommodate three members per class.
If it will be your first time, your shop fee is FREE! If not, the cost is $5.00 OR you can use your "Donna Dollars"!
