Bring donations of gift cards (Target, Walmart, So Cal grocery stores, restaurants, Visa/MC), PPE masks, and Chapstick to Number 46 or Oleander+Palm at 1032 Truxtun Ave. by 5 p.m. Jan. 11. They will be dropping the donations off in Pasadena on Sunday. Thank you!

The gender pay gap persists into retirement: due to lower lifetime earnings, women receive less in Social Security and pensions. Women only collect 80% of what men do in Social Security benefits, and a mere 76% in pensions. In terms of overall retirement income, women have only 70% of what men do. White men over 65 have an average annual income of $44,200, while white women over 65 must make do with $23,100, Black women with $21,900, and Latinas with $14,800.
