This Mother’s Day, you may find yourself in a place you never imagined spending your first, or yet another, Mother’s Day — by the side of an incubator, listening to the hums and beeps of machines instead of lullabies.
We want you to know that even here, especially here, your love is powerful, your presence is healing, and your motherhood is deeply, beautifully valid.
You are not alone.
Every feeding, every skin-to-skin cuddle, every whispered prayer, every moment you’ve held your baby’s tiny hand through the isolette — all of it is motherhood in its truest, most courageous form. You are doing an incredible job, even on the days when it feels impossibly heavy.
Please take a moment today to recognize your strength, your patience, your fierce love. You are exactly the mother your baby needs.
