The Center for Sexuality & Gender Diversity The Center seeks to provide safe supportive spaces and service to Kern County's 2SLGBTQIA+ community! For inquiries please email [email protected]

The Center is an easy access hub providing safe, supportive spaces and services to Kern County’s LGBTQ+ community and allies. We welcome persons of all identities and strive toward a goal of creating a feeling of belonging for all persons while serving as a bridge connecting to the greater community in Kern County. The Center is a 501C3, non-profit organization. OUR FACEBOOK POSTING POLICY: The Center of Bakersfield maintains Facebook groups and a page to promote activities at the Center, and to create an online safe space for all LGBTQ+ persons and their allies to communicate and support one another. The Board of the Center has set a policy to delete posts that do not fill this purpose and will take the added step of blocking persons who repeatedly violate this guideline. We insist that these pages remain safe spaces for all in our community.

Our Teen & Y.A. Discord Server will be open Thursday October 1st & Wednesday October 14th from 4-8pm this month! Come chill with us in a safe and affirming digital space. This space hosts separate chat room spaces for ages 13-17 and 18-26. This is a great place to decompress, get support, and make friends with other 2SLGBTQIA+ young people your age in Kern County. These spaces are open twice a month so that Staff/facilitators are always online to moderate and give support. We also post our monthly fliers, community resources, and other updates to the server- so this is a great way to stay updated with The Center, as well as meet others. Not in the Discord yet? Head to the linktree in our instagram bio, visit linktr.ee/thecenterbak, or contact [email protected]!
