Dustin's Diner Helping the homeless, one cookie at a time! The brothers are now grown men living in Southern California, but the tradition continues as a neighborhood project.

Dustin's Diner --The Tradition Continues

Started in 1993, the “diner” was the brainchild of brothers Dustin and David Kilpatrick, who were 9 and 11 at the time. They thought it would be fun to sell hot chocolate to the families touring Haggin Oaks to view the outdoor decorations. Since its inception, Dustin’s Diner has raised over $180,000. The neighborhood is decked out in its holiday finery, lights are lit, and we are geared up and ready to sell cookies. As always, because all of our ingredients and supplies are donated, every penny of the proceeds goes to the Bakersfield Homeless Center. Last year we raised almost $15,000 and with the help of the generous residents of Bakersfield, we hope to be able to match or exceed that amount this year. Dustin's Diner is located at 2301 Haggin Oaks Blvd. in Bakersfield. Thank you and best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season!!

Thank you, Safe 1 Credit Union for always supporting the community of Bakersfield

Safe 1 Credit Union had a festive time volunteering at Dustin’s Diner—serving hot cocoa, cider, cookies, and plenty of holiday cheer to those enjoying the lights at Haggin Oaks.

All proceeds from the diner support The Open Door Network, helping fund homelessness outreach—spreading warmth and giving back to our community.

Thank you, Howard Financial for always supporting the diner and the people of Kern County
