This week we have two events that we would love to go over real quick! I will try to make this short and sweet so bare with me...

Our General Membership Meeting is THIS WEDNESDAY the 21st. We know it is not the 4th Wednesday however, Legends had a scheduling conflict. We have discussed this at previous meetings but wanted to remind you all. Our Annual Christmas Party tickets will go on sale at this meeting. So please plan ahead if you want to grab tickets now! They are $25 each.

Then Saturday is our 3rd Annual Trunk-or-Treat at Bakersfield Harley-Davidson! This is a wonderful event for the community and we need YOUR help to make it another successful year. So grab some candy or treats to hand out, decorations and be at BHD to set up before kick-off at 11. The best "trunk" will will a prize sponsored from the dealership. It is a fun time for all and hope you will join us. A delicious BBQ lunch will be available to purchase for only $5! All motorcyclists are welcome! You don't have to be a HOG member or even a Harley owner. This is for our community and all are welcome!

Howdy HOG!

I hope everyone has been enjoying the cooler weather we have finally been getting! You can enjoy it more on two wheels with us tomorrow for our Why Work Wednesday Ride heading up to Tehachapi for some delicious BBQ.

Then Thursday is our Officers Meeting which will be VIRTUAL only this mkntj. The link to join will be in your email associated with your HOG membership Officers are expected, all members are welcome.

Then Saturday is our LOH ride, heading north to Springville to enjoy the Apple & Arts Festival! Remember, Ladies in the front, men is the rear for our Ladies of Harley rides!

This week we have a mellow week with no rides, which probably isn't a bad thing with the crazy fall heat wave we are getting! If you are out riding, please stay hydrated and safe! Know your limits in on the road.

Toby is hosting our October Bike Night this Thursday evening at Ruben's on Rosedale Hwy. This is a location change, so please note that. Bike Night is where you choose the route and we meet up for dinner. We hope you will join us for a time of great conversation, friends and yummy Mexican food! See you at 6pm!

Then Friday is our Ladies of Harley get-together and we getting fancy! We have a reservation for pedicures at Lucky Nails on Panama Lane then are heading to Handel's Ice Cream to finish off the night.

Happy Monday morning HOG family!

I will get the full October calendar up on the 1st but I wanted to share what we have going on this week now.

Our First Friday Fish Ride is happening October 2nd. Meeting at BHD at 8:45am, KSU at 9am. We want all riders joining us to be on the same page when it comes to the route & planned stops, so the ride meeting at 8:45am is important for all! So please don't show up at 9am expecting to be good to go. Please respect the time our ride leaders put into the ride they planned at be at the ride meeting.

Then on Saturday October 3rd. we have a short but meaningful ride. Meet at BHD at 7:15am, KSU 7:30am. We are showing our support for the Kern County 999 Foundation 20th Annual Memorial Ride at The Original Roadhouse. Although the Poker Run & Ride are not HOG related, we support our community and that is exactly what the 999 Foundation does for the men & women in blue and their families here in Kern County.

We hope you will join us for this amazing event!

Join us tonight for our monthly General Membership Meeting at Legends! Meeting kicks off at 7pm, but come early if you want to order dinner off the menu. Please remember to tip your server!

Then this Saturday is our Ladies of Harley ride! This month we are heading to Morro Bay for beautiful sites and delicious food. Meet at BHD by 8:45 am, KSU at 9 am. Breakfast will also be available to purchase that morning before you hit the road!

A Little Help Goes A Long Way

I have heard a few people say the email went to a different folder than our normal calendar emails, so I figured I would share here. Hopefully we can show up in a time of mourning and need. Join us tomorrow for our Why Work Wednesday Ride! Bill is leading us to Santa Clarita to enjoy The Cowboy Tavern by way of few highway miles & a bunch of back roads. Be at Bakersfield Harley-Davidson by 8:45am for the ride meeting. KSU at 9am.

Then Thursday at Bakersfield Harley-Davidson in the upstairs meeting room is our monthly Officers Meeting where we will discuss current business matters with our Chapter and look forward to the upcoming months and events. All members are welcome to attend, officers are expected. See you at 6:30pm.

We got some takers for September Bike Night & Sunday Fun Run! Thank you to Paige & Amy for stepping up.

This Thursday the 10th is Bike Night. Where you choose the route and we meet up for dinner at 6pm. This month, Paige chose Bootleggers off of Allen. We follow the rules of the restaurant inregards to seating. We hope to see you there to support a local restaurant!

Then on Sunday the 13th, Amy is taking us "back to school" as we head to Schoolhouse Grill in Caliente. Our ride meeting is at 8:45am, KSU at 9am. Please remember to be at the ride meeting if you want to join. This is the best way to know the route and go over safety measures as a group. Our ride meetings happen pre-ride to keep all riders informed! Very important.

Hello September! We are jumping right in this month!

Tomorrow morning is our First Friday Fish Ride. Then tomorrow evening is our Ladies of Harley get-together, which is a craft night this month. Last I heard there are still a few spots available! Message us if you're interested.

Then Saturday you can find our LOH cooking up some breakfast at Bakersfield Harley-Davidson!

I will share more on other event and rides we have coming up next week.

We do have a few open rides and events we would love your help with! If you want to "host" our September Bike Night on the 10th, let us know. Share your favorite food spot here in town.
