Love In The Name Of Christ, Bakersfield Love INC networks local churches, church volunteers, and community organizations together to help people in need. Lots of organizations give “stuff”.

Ultimately, our passion is to bring Christian churches together, across denominational lines, to help our neighbors in need! Very few bring caring, loving, trained Christians alongside individuals whose most basic need is for someone to love them and to ultimately share Christ with them. The role of Love INC is not to replace the Church but to help our local churches distribute their skills, gifts, resources, and love to communities in need.

General information

Clearinghouse Model 1. Receive request for help. Requests are received directly from a person in need who is referred to Love INC by a network church or local agency. 2. Assess the need. Specially trained Love INC volunteers or staff screen the requests for extent of need and legitimacy, and discover any deeper issues fueling the crisis. 3. Provide help. The request is referred to the most appropriate Love INC partner church, agency or faith-based organization. 4. Follow up. The Love INC office reviews the outcome. This also provides an opportunity for the client to connect to a church in their neighborhood.
