KERN COUNTY SCOTTISH SOCIETY — THANK YOU

What a weekend! The 2026 Scottish Games have come and gone, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who made it out to celebrate with us.

In a year when many societies were unable to host their games, we’re proud to have carried the tradition forward—and that’s because of you.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, supported the raffle, and enjoyed everything from the food and entertainment to the storytelling, falconry, and both the junior and senior games. Your presence is what brings this event to life.

We also want to be transparent: the Games we planned weren’t exactly the Games that unfolded. Like any large event, we experienced some unexpected cancellations across vendors, entertainment, and food providers. It’s part of the reality of organizing an event with so many moving parts—but it’s also something we learn from.

This society has been going strong since 1971 in its many forms, and we’re committed to continuing to grow and improve. If you have feedback, ideas, or would like to get involved, we’d genuinely love to hear from you. Please feel free to send us a direct message—constructive input helps us build something even better together.

Our focus now is simple: build on the wins, learn from the challenges, and make next year even stronger.
