Banned Books Week 2026 takes place October 4–10. 📚 This annual event spotlights the freedom to read and draws attention to the harms of censorship.
This year’s theme, “Let Books Be. Protect the Freedom to Read,” is a reminder of the role libraries play in connecting readers with stories, information, and ideas.
Visit your local library, explore the collection, and choose your next read.
