Colleges “offered” a lot of kids before today. Many were NON-COMMITTABLE offers. Unfortunately, colleges over-shot and rolled the dice, and to some degree were deceptive in their recruiting practices. However, today, August 1st, sets the precedent. If said kid didn’t receive an “OFFICIAL offer” from that school he committed to today sadly, he will have to “reopen” his recruiting options.
