🎓 2026 PJC Legacy Project Scholarship Recipients

First and foremost, thank you to our incredible community, supporters, sponsors, and donors. Because of your generosity and belief in our mission, the PJC Legacy Project was able to award six $1,500 scholarships to deserving seniors pursuing careers dedicated to serving others. These opportunities would not be possible without your continued support.

The PJC Legacy Project is proud to recognize these outstanding seniors whose commitment to service, leadership, and giving back to their communities reflects the values Phillip lived by:

- Gabriella Hernandez (Garces Memorial High School): Louisiana State University to study Political Science/Law & Legal Systems

- Yuritzy Lopez (East Bakersfield High School): Nursing

- Scarlett Cortez (East Bakersfield High School): Firefighting

- Mikaela Aguirre (East Bakersfield High School): Public Health Education

- Irene Sanchez (East Bakersfield High School): Paramedics

- Dai’Lani Dotson (Highland High School): Nursing

We are honored to invest in these future leaders as they pursue careers in law, healthcare, emergency services, public health, and public safety. Their passion for serving others gives us great hope for the future.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We are excited to follow your journeys and celebrate all that you will accomplish.

Fourth year. Full hearts. SOLD OUT.

Thank you to our incredible community, friends, and family for showing up once again for the 4th Annual PJC Legacy Project Fundraiser. Because of you, this year’s event was sold out and filled with so much love, support, and purpose.

A huge thank you to for continuing to stand with us year after year. Your generosity and partnership help make this event possible and turn a simple gathering into something truly meaningful.

Together, we continue to honor Phillip’s legacy by investing in future leaders through scholarships and resources. What started as a vision has become a tradition, and that’s because of this community.

From our family to yours, thank you for believing, supporting, and carrying this legacy forward.

Another year, another moment to come together for a purpose bigger than us.

This year marks the 4th Annual Salty’s BBQ Fundraiser, held in honor of Phillip Jesse Campas. A life that continues to inspire service, leadership, and community.

This year is especially meaningful as Phillip would have been turning 40. While time keeps moving forward, his impact remains deeply rooted in everything we do through the PJC Legacy Project.

Proceeds from this fundraiser continue to support youth leadership initiatives and the Phillip Campas Scholarships, helping build futures grounded in purpose, discipline, and heart.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, support, and help keep Phillip’s legacy alive.

What an awesome moment 🇺🇸✨During the Veterans Parade, seeing The PJC Legacy Project Gala displayed on the Fox Theater marquee, right across the street from where we’ll gather to honor his legacy on November 14th, couldn’t be more meaningful. His name, his legacy, right here in the heart of our community.

Today we stand in gratitude for the brave men and women who’ve worn our nation’s uniform. Veterans Day reminds us that freedom endures because of their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to something greater than themselves.

At the PJC Legacy Project, we honor every veteran, past and present, whose service continues to inspire purpose, compassion, and strength in our communities.

To our veterans, thank you for your service, your strength, and your continued impact beyond the battlefield.

In honor of all who served, and in remembrance of those like Phillip who carried that same spirit of service, we salute you.

Today marks four years since we lost Phillip Campas. A hero, a protector, a leader, and a man whose heart for service continues to move mountains.

Though time passes, your presence never fades. Your strength, integrity, and compassion echo in the lives you touched and the mission we continue in your name. As a U.S. Marine, a Kern County Deputy, and a devoted family man, you set the standard for courage and selflessness.

Through the PJC Legacy Project, we carry forward your vision of lifting others up, creating opportunity, and reminding our community what it means to serve with honor.

We miss you deeply, Phillip. But your legacy? It’s alive in every life changed, every scholarship awarded, every hand reached out in your name.

In your honor, always.
