A huge thank you to for continuing to stand with us year after year. Your generosity and partnership help make this event possible and turn a simple gathering into something truly meaningful.

Together, we continue to honor Phillip’s legacy by investing in future leaders through scholarships and resources. What started as a vision has become a tradition, and that’s because of this community.

Another year, another moment to come together for a purpose bigger than us.

This year marks the 4th Annual Salty’s BBQ Fundraiser, held in honor of Phillip Jesse Campas. A life that continues to inspire service, leadership, and community.

This year is especially meaningful as Phillip would have been turning 40. While time keeps moving forward, his impact remains deeply rooted in everything we do through the PJC Legacy Project.

Proceeds from this fundraiser continue to support youth leadership initiatives and the Phillip Campas Scholarships, helping build futures grounded in purpose, discipline, and heart.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, support, and help keep Phillip’s legacy alive.

What an awesome moment 🇺🇸✨During the Veterans Parade, seeing The PJC Legacy Project Gala displayed on the Fox Theater marquee, right across the street from where we’ll gather to honor his legacy on November 14th, couldn’t be more meaningful. His name, his legacy, right here in the heart of our community.

Today we stand in gratitude for the brave men and women who’ve worn our nation’s uniform. Veterans Day reminds us that freedom endures because of their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to something greater than themselves.

At the PJC Legacy Project, we honor every veteran, past and present, whose service continues to inspire purpose, compassion, and strength in our communities.

To our veterans, thank you for your service, your strength, and your continued impact beyond the battlefield.

Today marks four years since we lost Phillip Campas. A hero, a protector, a leader, and a man whose heart for service continues to move mountains.

Though time passes, your presence never fades. Your strength, integrity, and compassion echo in the lives you touched and the mission we continue in your name. As a U.S. Marine, a Kern County Deputy, and a devoted family man, you set the standard for courage and selflessness.

Through the PJC Legacy Project, we carry forward your vision of lifting others up, creating opportunity, and reminding our community what it means to serve with honor.

We miss you deeply, Phillip. But your legacy? It’s alive in every life changed, every scholarship awarded, every hand reached out in your name.

As today comes to an end, we take a quiet moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day. We honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage and legacy live on in the freedoms we are blessed with each day.

To those we’ve lost, thank you. You are never forgotten.

To those who served and came home, your sacrifice and strength do not go unnoticed.

And to the future heroes who will one day answer the call, thank you in advance.

The PJC Legacy Project is proud to announce our 2025 high school scholarship recipients! We awarded $1,500 scholarships to seven hardworking seniors pursuing careers in law enforcement or as first responders. Each student was selected through a thoughtful application and interview process that reflected their alignment with Phillip’s values and a strong commitment to serving others.
