Class supplies bring to: 11x14” drawing pad, a stiff board large enough to accommodate drawing on the 11x14” drawing pad (at least 11x14”), one or two soft 48 or pencils, sharpener, and a kneaded eraser. Class 1: Saturday, September 20, 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon-- introduction to drawing the head, basic shapes, contours, and movement. Spheres, ovals, and cubes. Class 2: Saturday, September 27, 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon—Introduction to drawing the proportions of the head and face. Flexibility of Proportions, contours, rotating on axis, and perspective considerations. Class 3: Saturday, October 4, 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon—Facial features and planes. Drawing the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Class 4: Saturday, October 11, 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon—Putting all the parts together. Problems and solutiontions. Some tips on drawing faces from photographs.
