“Whoever dwells in the secret place of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1

Thank You, Lord, for giving me a secret place in You where I may dwell. When I enter Your secret place, I don’t have to worry or fear because I am safe from all hurt, harm and danger. You can protect me from all threats, and I am encompassed by Your love. I rest safely under Your shadow. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

My God, whether it be danger that I face in the daytime or the nighttime, I can depend on You to see me through. You are so dependable to watch over and protect me, that I am amazed! I have never known such unconditional love and protection in my life. I will continue to praise and exalt You! In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

“A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.” Psalm 91:7

Lord, sometimes danger comes so very close to me. I see others falling all around me. At times, what I see and hear would seem to shake my faith. Then I must remember that “I walk by faith not by sight” and close my eyes to continue to step forward, so that I am not deterred by what surrounds me. Then Your blessed assurance guides me to continue the journey with You! In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

4 “When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.” Nehemiah 1:4

Experiencing something deeply upsetting can be difficult, but it can also propel me to do something deeply. People who act because of a grave need, create a positive impact from a negative situation. When he heard his hometown was destroyed, he returned and started the restoration work. He surveyed the problem and understood the need. He gathered people and persevered through challenges. Help me Lord to be driven to action in the face of adversity, especially when something breaks my heart. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

Lord, sometimes I feel as though I’ve been asked to do something without the resources to accomplish it? Jesus has thankfully not left me without his help! He said that Christian unity is attainable only because he has placed his presence in each believer. Unity happens as I yield to the Holy Spirit. I have to lay down my agenda. If I want the unity that Christ has prayed for, I have to claim. “Not my will, but yours, God.” In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

On Sunday Cain Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church celebrated the 4th Pastoral Appreciation for Rev Mercedes Tudy-Hamilton. The theme "Honoring the Shepard, Celebrating the Vision" Jeremiah 3:15. Our guest speaker was Rev. Kirkpatrick Tyler from Parks Chapel A.M.E. Church, San Fernando Ca. There were several guest churches and choirs in attendance. The day was filled with a powerful message, uplifting and inspiring music, we couldn't have asked for a better day of honoring our Pastor. Congratulations Pastor Mercedes Tudy-Hamilton, job well done these past years

5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:5

A bicycle has many parts, handlebars for turning, petals for moving and brakes for stopping. If I was missing any one of those parts my bike would not work. Lord help me to consider the people around me and the plethora of gifts they display which you gave each of them, God. If you took away any one of those types of people, Lord from our families, our church, our workplace, our community. The difference would be noticeable. Help me to appreciate the divine in everyone. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.
