👨‍🍳 DID YOU KNOW?

The meals served at The Mission aren’t just thrown together, they’re prepared by trained, certified chefs! 👏

Every member of our kitchen staff has gone to culinary school and earned their chef certification, bringing professional training and skill into our kitchen every single day.

Because the people we serve deserve more than just a meal. They deserve a good meal, prepared with care. ❤️🍽️

🍽️ SEPTEMBER IS HUNGER ACTION MONTH

Hunger is closer than you think. And for many in our community, it doesn't end when the month does.

September is Hunger Action Month, a time to come together and take action against hunger in our community. At The Mission at Kern County, we serve three meals a day, 365 days a year to our neighbors who are facing hunger.

This month, you can help make sure the table stays full. ❤️ Whether you give, volunteer, or simply help spread the word, your action matters.

Let's take action against hunger—together: https://shorturl.at/qogjQ

🍽️ Our kitchen needs your help!

Three meals a day. 365 days a year. That’s a lot of plates and it takes our entire community to keep them full. ❤️

Our kitchen is always working to provide nutritious meals to the men, women, and families we serve, and right now, we could use your help stocking the shelves. If you’re grocery shopping this week, consider picking up a few non-perishable food items to donate. Even one bag of groceries can help provide a meal, comfort, and a little hope to someone who needs it.

📍 Drop-off: 816 E. 21st St.
🕗 Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM

You buy the groceries. We’ll put them on the plate. Together, we feed our community. ❤️

We’ve always believed in treatment first. Now, the conversation is catching up.

🚨 Watch Here starting at 12:00!

In this week’s episode of Kern County In Depth, KGET’s Vincent Demonte discussed affordability in healthcare and a new homelessness and addiction toolkit created by the U.S. government …
