This week, the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources passed a bill that will allow OHVs to use certain existing roads within Capitol Reef National Park in Utah.

This bill does not alter existing or establish new trails. It clarifies which vehicles are allowed to use certain roads.

Last week, ORBA’s Legislative Director Laura Butcher joined Bureau of Land Management leadership in Moab, Utah to support the launch of BLM’s All Americans Outside Initiative.

This campaign is meant to promote outdoor recreation, ensuring our public lands are welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all individuals, and to connect more Americans with their public lands.

Special thank you to BLM Director Stevan Pearce and Deputy Director, Administration and Programs Jeff Kraus for their efforts to promote public lands access for all Americans.

Public lands are not one-size-fits-all, and the people managing them should have the flexibility to respond to conditions on the ground.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture and U.S. Forest Service are accepting public comments on the proposed rescission of the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule until October 6.

Recently, Jeff Waldaias Photos caught up with UTV racer—and double leg amputee Army Veteran— Tim Hall Racing Team at VORRA Stomping Grounds 300 in Yerington, NV to discuss the importance of motorized access to our public lands and why the Outdoor Americans with Disabilities Act is so important to Tim, and to ORBA.

Tim uses hand controls to operate his Can-Am Off-Road in the UTV Pro Turbo class.
