In partnership with the Kern Regional Center, PathPoint has created a program called PUENTE: Creating Accessible Pathways towards Success. Our mission at PUENTE is to provide support for transitional-age youth with IEPs and their families (who are currently being served by Kern Regional Center) in understanding the transition process from school services to adult services, and into the workforce u
sing transition planning. PUENTE will serve as a liaison between the student, families, the school district, KRC, Department of Rehabilitation, and other service agencies in Kern County. We are intent on bridging the gap between all stakeholders by working collaboratively for the needs of the student. We will work side-by-side with families and their student to connect them to resources and services that will help in achieving the goals of their student after completing high school.
