Join the mission. Change a child’s holiday.

This season, we’re hitting the road and visiting hidden-gem stores packed with name-brand toys at discount prices—and we need YOU to jump in with us.

Here’s how you can make an unforgettable difference:
Get out there: Visit those bargain and outlet stores with the big-name brands marked down.
Pick with purpose: Choose toys you know a child would be thrilled to see with *their name on it.
Bring it home to us: Drop your gifts at our official drop-off locations (check our last post, reels, and stories for exact spots).

These toys are going straight to kids in foster care and children walking through some of the hardest moments of their lives—kids who might not get anything this season without you.

We’re asking you to step up, open your heart, and turn a simple shopping trip into a powerful act of love.

Go through your day knowing:
Because you cared enough to buy a toy, a child who felt forgotten will feel seen, chosen, and celebrated.

📍 Swipe back to our previous posts, reels, and stories for all drop-off locations.
Let’s fill those bins. Let’s flood these kids’ lives with joy.

11/21/2025

Some kids in foster care and horrible living situations have never seen their name on a Christmas gift.

Not because they’re bad.
Because life has been hard, messy, and unfair.

Jesus people don’t scroll past that.
Jesus people step into that.
We don’t just talk about love — we become love in motion.

That’s why we’re launching our Annual Christmas Toy Drive to bless children in foster care and hard situations who are so often overlooked. A simple toy can look a child in the eyes and say:
“You matter. You are seen. You are worth celebrating.”

This year, let’s make them feel like a priority, not a problem.

✨ BAKERSFIELD, LET’S BE THE ANSWER TO A CHILD’S CHRISTMAS PRAYER ✨

Family,

Some of our sons and daughters in foster care have never had their name on a Christmas gift.
Not because they’re bad kids.
But because life has been hard, messy, and unfair.
Jesus people don’t walk past that.
Jesus people step into that.
We are the love of God in motion. 💛

That’s why I’m excited to partner with Sports Lander West Nutrition for our Annual Christmas Toy Drive — to bless children who are often overlooked, forgotten, or lost in “the system.”📍 Drop‑Off Location:
Sports Lander West Nutrition
7420 District Blvd, Ste A
Bakersfield, CA 93313. 🕊️ THE WHY
These kids come out of:
Painful, chaotic homes
Abandonment and abuse
Constant moves from house to house. A simple toy doesn’t “fix” all that —
but it does look a child in the eyes and say:
“You matter. You are seen. You are worth celebrating.”
Love makes them feel like a priority, not a problem.
And that is exactly how Jesus loves us. 🎁 WHAT TO BRING (NEW & UNWRAPPED):
Think of what your kids, nieces, nephews, or little cousins would want:

For younger kids (3–10):
LEGO sets & building blocks
Dolls & action figures
Remote control cars
Art kits / coloring sets
Play‑Doh & craft kits
Board games & puzzles For pre‑teens & teens (11–18):
Headphones / earbuds
Sports balls (basketball, soccer, football)
Nice water bottles / tumblers
Journals & drawing notebooks
Card games (UNO, Phase 10, etc.)
Gift cards (Target, Walmart, Amazon, fast food)
If it would light up your child’s face, it’ll light up theirs too.🔥 HOW YOU CAN HELP RIGHT NOW:

Bring a friend and double the joy.

Today is the day!
Oh man, I’m fired up to bless our kids with new shoes and celebrate Jesus’ love.
You and your child must be present to redeem the shoes—bring the confirmation image (with your name).
Not first-come-first-served—every registered child has a shoebox with their name.
Gates open at 5 PM.
Park in the open lot beside the barbershop; walk through the brick-wall gate between the apartment and Bethel Church.
Shoes will be donated to a local foster agency.
Come ready for good food, family, games, raffles, and a blessing you’ll carry into the new school year.

07/28/2025

Hey friends,

I wanted to share something close to my heart. We’re really close to reaching our goal for the upcoming back-to-school sneaker event — we’ve raised almost exactly what we need, but we’re just about $3,000 short. That’s all that stands between over 200 children receiving a fresh pair of sneakers, a simple gift that can make them feel seen, valued, and like they matter.

You see, this isn’t just about shoes — it’s about showing these kids that they are a priority, that there’s a community that cares, and that God’s love wants to meet their needs. I believe that everyone deserves to start the school year with confidence and hope. Many of us know what it’s like to be in a tough place, to be in survivor mode — I get it. That’s why we’re doing this, to bring a little piece of peace into a chaotic world.

We can’t do this without your help. Whether you’re able to give financially or simply keep us in your prayers, your support makes a difference. Pray that doors open wide and that hearts are moved. If you’re willing to stand with us in this, please respond. Every bit counts — and honestly, just your prayers are powerful beyond measure.

Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your willingness to make a difference. Let’s come together and show these kids they are loved and valued — because they truly are.

With gratitude,

Johnell Ward
