🌅We are the wild ones...

We are the descendants of those who survived, thrived, and sang with the wind. When our feet touch the earth, we’re not just stepping forward we’re stepping back into something ancient. Something sacred. Something ours.

Every step we take into nature is an act of reclamation. Of healing the parts of us the world tried to silence. Of joy that cannot be colonized. We don’t just belong here, we’ve always been here. This land remembers us, even when the world forgets. It holds our laughter, our labor, our language, our lineage.

Whether it’s a solo walk in stillness or a hike surrounded by chosen family, nature is where our roots dig deep. It’s where our stories rise like smoke into the morning sky. It’s where we breathe for ourselves and for the generations before and after us.

Start your week with intention. Breathe deep. Move slow. Take up your space: fully, freely, without apology. Because when we show up in wild spaces as our full selves, we remind the world: We are not visitors here. We are the wild ones and we are home.

Drop a 🌿 if you’ve ever felt more like yourself in nature or tag someone who walks beside you on your healing journey.

🧠 Men are dying in silence.

Not because they’re weak, but
because they were told not to feel.
Not to cry.
Not to ask for help.

This month, we call B.S. on that.
You’re allowed to feel.
You’re allowed to break.
You’re allowed to get help.

Speaking up doesn’t make you less of a man.
It might just save your life.

We see you. We’ve got you.

We don’t need to do anything to receive the wisdom of nature we just need to notice. Here are 5 gentle ways to listen with more than your ears.

Whether it’s the rustle of leaves or the sound of your own breath beside a river, every part of nature is speaking to you without asking anything in return.

Which one of these practices speaks to you today? Let us know below.

🌲🐦✨The forest's silence is not an absence of sound, but rather a space where other sounds, like the rustling of leaves or the wind, can be heard and interpreted in a unique way. This silence can be a powerful form of communication, allowing for a deeper connection to the natural world. The forest, with its ancient trees and intricate ecosystems, is often viewed as a source of wisdom. Its silence, combined with the beauty of nature, can offer a sense of calm and understanding.

So let the silence of the forest say what the heart cannot.

Nature never speaks, yet it teaches more than a thousand words ever could. The trees show us how to let go with grace and grow again. Rivers remind us to keep moving, even when the path twists. Mountains teach us strength and stillness. Even the smallest leaf plays its part in the grand design. Without uttering a single word, nature offers us lessons in patience, resilience, balance, and peace.

*Swipe through to explore the quiet truths the natural world shares...if only we take the time to listen.

The Earth is speaking; through rising tides, cracking ice, and burning skies. Every sound, every silence, is a message. The question is: are we truly listening, or just hearing? This Earth Month, let’s tune in, act up, and honor the only home we have.

🎉 Here's another way how you can celebrate the 280 park units that they preserve and protect. Getting the best of California’s natural and cultural history, from natural features and ecosystems to historic structures and cultural resources:

🗓️ Thursday, June 13th 2024 "Nourish Your Health and Well-being"

"There’s a reason why playing outside, having a barbecue or picnic, or taking a walk in the open air feels so good. Studies have shown that time in nature can boost people’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Everyone should have access to these benefits. California’s state parks give us all places where we can find refuge, inspiration, and joy. When we connect with nature, we are connecting with ourselves and boosting our overall health." - California State Parks Week
