20 ACRES of land off Granite Road of Alpha Canine Sanctuary for SALE with goal of another animal rescue being the buyers of the land. We plan to keep the non profit Alpha Canine Sanctuary to do good in the dog community, but Marilyn Stewart the director who started it in 1995 is at a point where the day to day operations are difficult and donations slowing down as she is not actively out and about anymore in the community, we are hoping another rescue or someone with aspirations of having their own rescue will step in and take over the operations. My mom #1 will have life estate on the property in her mobile home as she loves it out there, but the 20 acres itself is a huge opportunity for someone ambitious with a heart of gold for animals!! The land also is ZONED A for Agricultural which gives such organization a lot of options in terms of what they can do. In theory you could lease out parts of the property to horse stables, and or build a dog boarding facility to offset costs, but a small amount is really used currently of the 20 acres. There are approximately 60 plus kennels, with a number of them needing upkeep as they are somewhat mothballed on the north side of property which was formerly the smaller dog size, and then on south part of property there is the active kennels dog runs currently being used. All dogs come with the deal as we are down to around 33-36 currently. Property thru Kern County allows 100 total dogs at a time in theory.
Bottom line is we want the property to be used as a continuing place for dogs to go, as the Kern County and City Shelters just don't have space, and more space is needed for dogs and this property can accommodate that.

There is also a 20 acre adjacent property for sale by us for a total of 40 acres with an 10/10 house site view of the surrounding foothills also for sale. Please keep comments positive as my mom has done this for 28 years now, but needs someone with more energy on the day to day to keep saving dogs. Here is an opportunity for a rescue who doesn't have land or someone wanting to help dogs their whole life and now has a already established rescue property to take over.

UPDATE. ADOPTED!!!!! 🙂

Bentley”is for adoption. He is 3years old and is 20 lbs neutered with his rabies up to date. He is a very friendly dog, gets along with other dogs and is playful and would or could be a good lap dog also and he also is good on a leash. Please message if anyone you know would like a loving little boy. He was pulled from Kern Animal Shelter on July 9th. Let’s get him a forever home!!!

“David”who we pulled from Kern County Animal. Services is a sweet highly energetic boy around 85 lbs who is looking for a forever home. He is very friendly and gets along with other dogs and would be a great addition.
