For three years, Roger has been a consistent presence in Julian’s life. Through placement changes, life's ups + downs, everyday moments, + special celebrations, Roger has been right there beside him.⁠

And this month, Roger got to be part of Julian’s biggest celebration yet, his adoption into his FOREVER FAMILY! 🥹❤️⁠

What a beautiful reminder that mentorship isn't about having all the answers or making grand gestures. It's about showing up, staying connected, + being someone a young person can count on through every season.⁠

Fall Festival… with a side of summer. ☀️🎃⁠

It may not have felt like fall, but that didn’t stop our families from showing up + having a whole lot of fun at our 6th Annual Fall Festival at White Star Ranch!⁠
⁠
Fair food, games, crafts, a petting zoo, line dancing, a DJ, + pumpkins for everyone made for a great afternoon. AND Liberty High School ASB brought the Halloween fun with an incredible Trunk or Treat for our kids + families.🍬👻⁠
⁠
But our favorite part? Watching our families, mentors, volunteers, + staff simply have fun together. Events like this create space for new memories, stronger relationships, + the kind of community where everyone belongs.⁠

Purpose Over Profit — Grindhaus + McGarry’s 💪❤️⁠

Grindhaus puts that phrase into action through their quarterly Pump + Run, choosing a local nonprofit to support with every event. This quarter, they chose Bakersfield Angels!⁠
⁠
Participants raised over $700, + McGarry’s Irish Pub joined in by donating 10% of the day’s profits. ⁠
⁠
Strong bodies. Big hearts. Purpose-driven impact. Thank you, Grindhaus + McGarry’s, for showing what’s possible when community comes together!⁠

At our latest Dare to Give Back day at M.A.R.E. Therapeutic Riding Center, our youth + mentors worked side by side, getting their hands dirty, giving back, + strengthening their relationships along the way.⁠
⁠
There’s something different about serving together...conversations happen naturally, walls come down, + our youth experience the confidence that comes from knowing they have something meaningful to give.⁠

Giving back to our community while growing closer to each other, that’s Dare to Give Back.

After raising an incredible $1,784 through cookie sales over the last two years, our troop celebrated their hard work with a trip to John’s Incredible Pizza! ⁠
