Good Neighbor Crew Doing Amazing Things!

This video is from a job we completed last Friday, and it was a big one! The crew tackled the front yard, backyard, and even repaired the fence. Watching this team come together, work hard, and take pride in what they do is truly inspiring.

I couldn’t be more proud of this group and everything they’ve accomplished so far. The growth, dedication, and determination they’ve shown prove that this program is making a real difference—not just in our community, but in the lives of the people involved.

And we’re only getting started.

The future is bright for the Good Neighbor Crew, and I truly believe this program is going to do amazing things. Thank you to everyone who supports us, believes in our mission, and helps make opportunities like this possible. Your encouragement, donations, referrals, and trust are helping us build something special.

Together, we’re creating opportunities, restoring hope, and making our neighborhoods better—one job at a time. 💪🦺🏡

The Good Neighbor Crew is out on another job today, and we’re reaching out to our community for a little help.

Our Honda lawnmower has been a workhorse for the crew and has served us well, but we’ve reached the point where we need a second mower to keep up with the work. The crew has raised $200 toward another lawnmower and possibly a blower as well.

If anyone has a decent mower or blower sitting around that they’d be willing to sell at a reasonable price, please send us a message. We believe in repurposing equipment whenever possible and giving good tools a second life while supporting the work our crew is doing in the community.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Good Neighbor Crew. Every tool helps create more opportunities for our team to learn skills, earn income, and give back to the neighborhoods we serve.

Defining moments today with the CAPK M St. Navigation Center. There have been a lot of ups and downs, a lot of stress and worry about whether our program would survive and what tomorrow would bring. But it’s amazing to see how quickly things can come together when people are working hard, serving others, and finding purpose in the process.

Today was a beautiful day. We witnessed growth, passion, and hope for the future. Safe camp funding has been restored, and a new program has emerged with people stepping into something bigger than themselves. We’re thankful for those who took the time to hear our story, and even more grateful for the peers and supporters who believed in us from the beginning.

Every challenge has reminded us why this work matters. The Good Neighbor Project was built on service, compassion, and second chances, and we’re proud of how far we’ve come together.

We’re grateful for the progress, excited for the future, and ready to keep building. The Good Neighbor Project is here to stay. 💪🏽💙⛺️🦺

Good Neighbor Crew Cleanup — April 17, 2026 🦺 🧹♻️

The Good Neighbor Crew was scheduled for a yard cleanup, but while on the way to the job the client called and canceled due to an emergency. Instead of heading back to the shelter, the crew decided to find another way to serve the community.

We came across an empty lot at 33rd & K St. where a small encampment had recently moved out. A large amount of trash and belongings had been left behind, so the team stepped in and got to work cleaning the area up.

This is what the Good Neighbor Crew is about — showing up, adapting, and taking pride in helping our community no matter the circumstances. Small actions can make a big difference when people are willing to step up together. 💪🏽🦺🗑️

A massive thank you to Yazmin and Yoana for bringing their talents, energy, and big hearts to the shelter this past weekend.

They stepped up and gave fresh haircuts to over 15 men in our community, boosting confidence and restoring dignity one trim at a time.

A fresh haircut is more than just a new look—it is a reminder that you are seen, valued, and cared for. We are incredibly grateful for your time, skill, and kindness! 💙✂️
