Community Notice

We have been made aware of a concern involving a rechargeable flashlight that was sold through this year’s Holiday Shop. A family reported an issue with the item while it was charging.

At this time, LPEP is actively reaching out to the Holiday Shop company to notify them of the concern and to request additional information. We are awaiting guidance from the vendor regarding next steps.

Out of an abundance of caution, we encourage families who purchased rechargeable flashlights from the Holiday Shop to discontinue use of the item until more information is available.

The safety of our students and families is very important to us. We will share updates as soon as we receive further details from the Holiday Shop company.

We would LOVE your help at Curtisville’s Holiday Shop! This is such a fun event where students get to shop for gifts all by themselves — but we can’t run it without volunteers. And we still need quite a few!

Volunteers must have clearances on file with the district.

• 🔨🪚 Set-Up Tuesday 12/9 — 3:15–5:00 PM — need 3

• 🛍️🛍️ Thursday 12/11 — 9:15–11:15 AM (Shoppers) — still need 5

• 🛍️🛍️ Friday 12/12 — 9:15–11:15 AM (Shoppers) — still need 5

• 🛍️🛍️ Friday 12/12 — 1:15–2:45 PM (Shoppers) — still need 5

• 🧽 🧼 Clean-Up Friday 12/12 — 3:15–5:00 PM — need 3

Our LPEP elves have been busy getting everything ready for this year’s Curtisville Primary Center Holiday Shop! Students will have the chance to surprise family members, teachers, and even pets with special gifts.

🛍️ Shopping Days:
• Wednesday, December 10
• Thursday, December 11
• Friday, December 12
(Each homeroom’s assigned shopping time is listed on the schedule sent home.)

🎁 Gift Prices: Most items range from $1–$8, with some between $0.50–$15. Please send cash or a check made payable to LPEP in a labeled zip-top bag with your child’s name, homeroom, and budget.

✨ A budgeting chart is included in the take-home letter to help families plan their child’s shopping list.
✨ Please also let us know if your child is permitted to purchase a gift for themselves.
