🐾 Puppy Raiser Needed on Bainbridge Island and the surrounding area 🐾

We are looking for two more volunteer puppy raiser on the Bainbridge and the surrounding area for our sweet 8-week-old puppies!

Puppy raisers play a vital role in helping future assistance dogs get the best possible start. You’ll help with basic training and socialization, and be part of an incredible journey that will ultimately change someone’s life.

✨ Assistance Dogs Northwest provides training, support, basic supplies and covers veterinary care — you provide the love, guidance, and everyday experiences they needs to grow into a confident future service dog.

We wanted to give a huge thank you to 🚒 👨🏻‍🚒🐾 for providing such an incredible full-exposure training experience for our dogs in training!

The dogs had the opportunity to hear the sirens, explore an ambulance, greet the firefighters, and see all kinds of equipment up close. Experiences like these are so valuable in helping build confident, well-socialized working dogs.

We truly appreciate the time, kindness, and support from everyone at the department who helped make this possible! 🐾❤️

Big day for the E litter! 🐾👩‍⚖️

Today’s field trip to the Snohomish County Courthouse gave these pups a chance to practice real-world skills—walking through security, greeting politely, and staying calm in a busy courtroom environment. We thank Judge Judge for arraigning this wonderful opportunity.

🐾 Friday Free Run 🐾

During our Friday Free Run, the pups enjoyed time to run, explore, swim, and engage in appropriate play with other dogs. 💦🐶

We also practiced off-leash recall—an important skill to consistently reinforce, especially in environments with higher levels of distraction. Building reliable recall helps ensure safety while allowing dogs to explore and enjoy their surroundings. 🐾
