Awesome job 8th grade party planners and volunteers, it was a huge success! Amazing food, mini golf, lawn games, music, old cars and so much more. Thank you for making this event happen to celebrate our kids!

June 17 through August 31 Bainbridge Island Rotary Club and Helpline House have partnered to provide meals to youth. The meals will be distributed at Helpline House on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays between noon and 4 p.m.

Do you have an 8th grader interested in joining cross country in the fall? Tomorrow all 8th graders are invited to run with the current BHS team and coaches. Meet at the WMS track at 4pm for an easy group run. before heading back to the high school. Finish at BHS track at approximately 5:00pm. A short team meeting will be held from 5:00-5:20pm for anyone with questions about summer training, captain applications, etc. Cross Country is a no cut sport for High School.

We are so happy to be having an 8th Grade Picnic, especially since sooooo many parents asked for some kind of send off for these amazing kids! Thank you Kimber and Elle for stepping up to chair this event and thanks for keeping the cost down: lowest cost ever. You are amazing and all the volunteers who are helping are amazing as well. This will be a great event!!

Parents, this is not PTO fundraiser function but something that 8th grade parents sponsor so be sure to buy your child’s ticket now and if you can, sponsor a child or two.

The Bainbridge Island Community Pharmacy is receiving first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine this week.

Pfizer vaccines: The FDA has approved the expanded use of the Pfizer vaccine for 12 to 15 year olds. We will be opening up first dose appointments on Tuesday, May 11, at noon for our clinic at Commodore on Saturday, May 15 in anticipation of both CDC and Washington State DOH approval. Pfizer is the only vaccine approved for 12 to 17 year olds.

Special notes:
Patients who are 12 to 15 years old MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If a parent or guardian is not present, the patient will be sent away.

Want to try rowing or learn more about this fast-growing sport?

Join us for a land-based orientation to rowing. Ages 13 and up. We’ll introduce you to ergs, rowing shells and oars; show you around the boathouse (in small groups); and answer your rowing questions. Learn about our 2021 Adult (ages 19 and up) Learn to Row program or our Junior (grades 8-12) Summer Rowing programs.

Mask-wearing and adherence to BIR Covid Safety Protocols required.
