After almost a year in Door County, Leo has returned safe and sound to his home in Bolivia. While we will all miss him greatly, we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next. Until next time!

We had a full house today to hear from our Happy Dollars recipient Sevastopol Destination Imagination! Co-Coordinator Annie Rabach and student Jackson Toivonen gave us a wonderful overview of this successful program.

School is officially out for the summer, and Leo has officially graduated high school! ☀️ A huge congratulations for this major milestone and accomplishment. It has been such a pleasure for all Rotary members getting to know you this year. We can’t wait to see where you go next! 🥳

We were happy to host Lisa last week and hear all about PMF and this summer’s music festival! Hope to see you there! 🎺🎹🎻🎶

Thank you to the Door County Rotary Club for welcoming our President & CEO Lisa Harper to speak about Peninsula Music Festival.

At PMF, we believe great music has the power to bring people together, strengthen communities, and create meaningful connections across generations. We’re always grateful for opportunities to share that mission with local organizations and community groups.

Presentation topics include:

• Why Live Music Still Matters in a Streaming World
• Reinventing Retirement & Leading With Experience
• Building Community Through the Arts
• Why the Arts Matter in Challenging Times
• Why Great Music Belongs in Small Communities
• Lessons Learned From Leading a Music Organization

If your organization is interested in hosting a future PMF presentation or conversation with Lisa Harper, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d love to connect.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of inducting new members Eliza, Katie, and Paul; welcome to Rotary!

We also honored two members, Michael and Tom, with the Paul Harris Award, recognizing their strong commitment to service and leadership. Thank you both for setting an example we can all aspire to.

Had a great presentation from Jon at Destination Door County on the important promotional work they do for us and how returns are invested back into the community. Thank you for all your hard work!

Thank you to Kyle, Chief Deputy from the Door County Sheriff's Office, for presenting to us this morning. We enjoyed learning about their programs and getting an introduction to the canine unit via trading cards. 😁 Thank you for the important work you do and for your service!

Well that’s another one for the books! Basketball season came to an end with a loss at Regionals for the Gibraltar cagers. A great season and another terrific experience RYE student Leo!

Wondering: Should we just turn this account into all Leo all the time? What a year he’s having on his American/Door County adventure!

A couple big weeks for our inbound student Leo! First a trip to Madison to see the sights AND a Wisconsin vs Ohio State game. Then a taste of our “unique” Door County culture! The Winterfest Toilet Seat Throw!! Imagine the stories he’ll have to tell everyone back home!
